VP of Construction (Data Center)
This is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing the full construction lifecycle, driving project delivery excellence, managing high-performing teams, and ensuring the successful execution of multiple hyperscale and colocation developments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all construction activities across a portfolio of Data Center developments from pre-construction through commissioning and handover.
- Develop and execute construction strategies aligned with business growth plans and project delivery objectives.
- Manage relationships with contractors, consultants, vendors, utility providers, and key stakeholders.
- Oversee project budgets, schedules, procurement strategies, risk management, and quality assurance.
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing construction and project management team.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget while maintaining the highest operational and quality standards.
- Collaborate closely with development, design, engineering, operations, and executive leadership teams.
- Support site selection, due diligence, constructability reviews, and pre-development planning activities.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across construction delivery processes and governance frameworks.
Requirements
- Proven experience leading Data Center projects.
- Strong background managing complex stakeholder environments and multidisciplinary teams.
- Demonstrated expertise in project controls, contract management, procurement, and construction risk mitigation.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and executive stakeholder management skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline.
