Lead Complex Wastewater Treatment Projects in a High-Impact Role
We are conducting a confidential search on behalf of our client, a nationally recognized engineering firm, for an experienced Wastewater Treatment Design Manager. This leadership role offers the opportunity to deliver complex municipal wastewater treatment projects while driving business development across the Mid-Atlantic and South Atlantic regions.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a subject matter expert in wastewater treatment design
- Develop project deliverables and coordinate engineering disciplines in a collaborative environment
- Solve complex technical challenges and provide feasibility evaluations
- Manage multiple wastewater facility projects from concept through construction phase services
- Deliver exceptional client service with a focus on quality and timeliness
- Mentor and develop junior engineers, building strong project delivery teams
- Negotiate and manage scopes, schedules, and budgets
- Interface with clients, agencies, and subconsultants to pursue and execute projects
- Support leadership in marketing and business development efforts targeting municipal wastewater clients
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering (or related field)
- 15+ years of experience in municipal wastewater treatment engineering
- Proven track record in project delivery and business development
- Existing client relationships or ability to develop and nurture them
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Preferred:
- Advanced degree in civil or environmental engineering
- Experience with alternative delivery projects
