Water Resources Engineer
We're seeking a skilled and motivated Water Resources Engineer to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical foundation in hydrologic and hydraulic design, a passion for mentoring others, and a desire to work on impactful infrastructure projects across Texas.
What You'll Do:
- Tackle real-world water infrastructure problems using advanced modelling tools and engineering judgement.
- Collaborate with a talented team of engineers and mentor junior staff to deliver high-impact solutions.
- Serve as a technical lead on projects, guiding design efforts and ensuring quality across deliverables.
- Communicate directly with clients, providing updates, addressing concerns, and building long-term relationships.
- Develop proposals, budgets, and schedules for new projects and contribute to strategic planning.
- Produce and review technical documentation, including reports, plans, and regulatory submissions.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a water resources focus.
- Active PE license in Texas.
- 5-15 years of experience in water resources engineering, including stormwater, drainage, and floodplain management.
- Proficiency in HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, ArcGIS, and other hydrologic/hydraulic modelling tools.
- Experience preparing drainage PS&E and working with agencies like TxDOT, HCFCD, or City of Houston.
- Bonus points for a Master's degree or experience with 1D/2D modelling platforms.
- Valid Texas driver's license and clean driving record.
