Water Resources Project Manager - Stream Restoration

Position Overview

Our client, a prominent environmental engineering firm, is seeking a highly skilled Water Resources Project Manager with 10+ years of experience to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to lead projects in the fields of stream restoration, hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, low impact development, wetlands mitigation design, FEMA map revisions, and floodplain studies. Key Responsibilities

As the Water Resources Project Manager / Senior Project Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Stream Restoration Design & Construction Oversight: Lead the design, project drawings, and monitoring of stream restoration projects.
  • Hydrologic & Hydraulic Analysis: Conduct watershed analysis and analyze open and closed drainage systems.
  • SWM/LID/BMP Design: Design Stormwater Management (SWM), Low Impact Development (LID), and Best Management Practices (BMP).
  • Wetlands Mitigation Design: Manage wetlands mitigation projects, including project drawings and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • FEMA Map Revisions & Floodplain Studies: Handle FEMA map revision requests and floodproofing/flood mitigation design.
  • Clean Water Act Permitting & Presentations: Prepare necessary permits and presentations for hearings and client reviews.
  • Autodesk CAD Work: Utilize AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and other software for design and modeling.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil/environmental/water resources engineering or a closely related discipline.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in water resources, environmental, or civil engineering.

Preferred:

  • Expertise in stream restoration design and hydrologic/hydraulic modeling.
  • Proficiency with floodplain modeling and FEMA map revisions.
  • Extensive experience with AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D, SWMM, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, and TR[1]
