Mid Level Environmental Engineer or Geologist

Position Overview:
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented environmental professional with 3-5+ years of experience to support a variety of environmental projects. This hybrid role is based in the northwest suburbs of the Twin Cities and offers a mix of field and office responsibilities. You'll contribute to environmental site assessments, remediation oversight, and regulatory compliance efforts for a wide range of public and private sector clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs)
- Develop technical documents including work plans, health and safety plans, and sampling plans
- Perform field investigations including soil, groundwater, and air sampling; drilling oversight; and well installation
- Coordinate and oversee subcontractors such as drillers, laboratories, and remediation contractors
- Assist in managing project timelines, budgets, and deliverables
- Prepare technical reports, site maps, boring logs, and cross-sections
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations
- Maintain organized project documentation and support regulatory reporting
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Environmental Engineering, or a related field
- 3-5+ years of experience in environmental consulting or a related discipline
- Familiarity with environmental regulations and programs such as Phase I/II ESAs, UST closures, SPCC, RCRA, NPDES, and the Clean Water Act
- Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
