Position Overview:

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Water/Wastewater Engineer with approximately 10 years of experience in the planning, design, and implementation of water and wastewater treatment systems. This role is ideal for an engineer who thrives on solving complex challenges, improving treatment processes, and delivering sustainable infrastructure solutions for public and private clients.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Design & Delivery: Lead or support the design of water and wastewater treatment facilities, including process modeling, equipment selection, and layout development.
  • Technical Leadership: Serve as a technical expert on treatment processes, regulatory compliance, and emerging technologies.
  • Project Management: Manage project scopes, schedules, and budgets; coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and subconsultants.
  • Client Interaction: Collaborate with clients to understand needs, present technical solutions, and ensure satisfaction throughout project lifecycles.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct technical reviews and ensure compliance with industry standards and environmental regulations.
  • Innovation & Sustainability: Integrate energy-efficient and sustainable practices into treatment system designs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • Approximately 10 years of experience in water/wastewater treatment design and implementation.
  • Proficiency with design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and process modeling tools (e.g., BioWin, GPS-X).
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local water quality regulations.
  • Excellent communication and technical writing skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with advanced treatment technologies (e.g., membrane filtration, nutrient removal, disinfection systems).
  • Familiarity with construction administration and field engineering.
  • Ability to lead junior engineers and mentor technical staff.
  • Knowledge of funding programs and permitting processes.
