The Role

Our client is seeking an accomplished Water/Wastewater Practice Leader to take ownership of design and permitting activities for wastewater distribution systems, treatment facilities, pump stations, and master planning projects. This is a senior leadership position with significant influence on strategic growth, client relationships, and team development.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead design and permitting for wastewater systems across residential, institutional, commercial, and mixed-use developments.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to define growth strategies and ensure optimal team performance.
  • Mentor and guide engineering staff to achieve technical and business objectives.
  • Drive business development by building new client relationships and strengthening existing ones.
  • Coordinate multi-disciplinary services to deliver integrated project solutions.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (required).
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • 10+ years of civil engineering experience with a focus on wastewater systems, pump stations, and treatment plant design.
  • Demonstrated success in client development and management.
  • Expertise in wastewater design and hydraulic analysis.
  • Strong technical and proposal writing skills; detail-oriented with sound judgment.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or Civil 3D.
  • Active involvement in professional organizations.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, and mentor junior staff.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for client meetings and site visits.
