Their Florida team continues to grow, creating an opportunity for an experienced Water/Wastewater Process Engineer to join either their Orlando or Tampa office. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys technical design, process engineering, project delivery, and working alongside some of the industry's leading treatment specialists.

The Opportunity

As part of a highly specialised water practice, you'll contribute to the planning, design, and delivery of municipal water and wastewater treatment projects throughout Florida and across the United States.

Working closely with project managers, senior engineers, and technical experts, you'll play a key role in developing innovative treatment solutions that improve public health, environmental sustainability, and long-term infrastructure resilience.

Projects may include:

• Water treatment facilities
• Wastewater treatment facilities
• Water reuse systems
• Advanced treatment processes
• Stormwater infrastructure
• Capital improvement programmes
• Utility master planning initiatives

This position offers exposure to the full project lifecycle, from planning and conceptual design through construction and commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and perform engineering work on water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Support the design of water and wastewater treatment facilities, including process engineering and detailed design development.
• Prepare engineering reports, technical memoranda, specifications, cost estimates, and design calculations.
• Participate in planning studies, facility assessments, and treatment process evaluations.
• Support the delivery of projects through design, permitting, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.
• Provide engineering support during construction and coordinate with contractors, clients, and project stakeholders.
• Assist Project Managers with coordinating multidisciplinary project teams and managing project deliverables.
• Participate in pilot testing, field investigations, data collection, and system evaluations.
• Analyse project data and develop innovative solutions for complex treatment challenges.
• Collaborate with clients and internal technical specialists to ensure successful project outcomes.

What We're Looking For

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) licence.
• 4 to 8 years of experience within water and wastewater engineering.
• Experience working on treatment plant planning, design, or construction projects.
• Strong technical writing and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred:

• Master's degree in Civil, Environmental, or related Engineering discipline.
• Experience supporting projects through both design and construction phases.
• Exposure to advanced water or wastewater treatment processes.
• Experience working directly with municipal utility clients.
• Interest in technical leadership and long-term career growth within the water sector.
