An amazing opportunity for a Civil Associate Vice President to join the team in Orlando.
Overview
The AVP will be expected to take on a leadership role within the engineering team to provide engineering and design services to clients and will coordinate with engineers, project managers, clients and other disciplines to deliver on schedule and on budget projects. Train and mentor junior staff in their office as well as manage workload for the team. Lead engineering and production team through the planning and design of civil engineering projects.

Responsibilities
- Assist with marketing of the firm's capabilities to establish new clients and enhance relationships with existing developers, builders, and government agencies.
- Be able to execute through administration, technical and management techniques on multiple projects to ensure the successful completion, on time and within budget.
- Effectively execute project contracts and develop internal staff.
- Assist in developing processes and provide input on achieving company and office operational excellence while growing their region and office.
- Represent the organization and maintain liaison with individuals and related organizations.
- Drive the profitability and growth of projects.
- Be responsible for client interaction, including preparation of new contract proposals, change orders, attending or leading project meetings.
- Lead and manage current project teams from bid until completion, while looking to obtain future business and performing own project duties.
- Mentor and direct junior staff, coordinate with project managers, and be responsible for goal setting and performance management of engineering team.
- Review project changes, pending or anticipated alterations to the contract, additional work requests, and all other factors, which may significantly affect staffing requirements or budget
- Provide technical assistance in the resolution of design problems including field investigation or inspections, detailed design work, detailed review of design computations done by others and general coordination of design aspects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
- Licensed Professional Engineer.
- 8+ years of engineering or related land development experience to include commercial, residential, municipal or industrial.
- Demonstrated proficiency with computer applications and civil engineering design software such as AutoCAD and/or Civil3D or similar design software required.
- Physical Demands and Working Environment
- Some outdoor work environments.
- Primarily local travel during the business day.
