Responsibilities:
CAD Design and Drafting:
- Utilize CAD software to create detailed and accurate technical drawings for audio-visual systems, including equipment layouts, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and design specifications.
System Integration:
- Work closely with the AV design team to integrate audio-visual components seamlessly into architectural plans, ensuring optimal functionality and aesthetics.
- Identify and resolve potential design issues during the planning phase to streamline the installation process.
Quality Assurance:
- Conduct thorough reviews of CAD drawings to ensure compliance with industry standards, company guidelines, and client specifications.
- Perform quality checks on system designs to guarantee optimal performance and reliability.
Documentation:
- Generate comprehensive documentation, including equipment lists, technical specifications, and installation guidelines.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of CAD files and project documentation for future reference.
Collaboration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including AV technicians, project managers, and sales professionals, to facilitate effective communication and project execution.
- Provide technical support and guidance to team members throughout the project lifecycle.
Research and Innovation:
- Stay informed about emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices related to audio-visual systems.
- Contribute innovative ideas to enhance the efficiency and performance of audio-visual solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Audio-Visual Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an AV CAD Engineer or similar role.
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.) for audio-visual system design.
- Strong understanding of audio-visual technologies, signal flow, and integration.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Industry certifications such as CTS-D (InfoComm) or equivalent.
- Familiarity with IT networking principles and protocols.
- Experience working on projects in diverse industries, such as corporate, education, hospitality, or healthcare.
