We are seeking an Asset Manager specializing in audio, video, lighting (A/V/L), and other production equipment to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in optimizing the utilization and performance of our equipment assets. You will oversee our company's assets across multiple locations and manage the process of sub-renting items from other vendors as needed. Your strategic insights will enhance asset value, minimize downtime, and ensure the availability of top-quality equipment to meet both our internal and clients' needs. This role requires meticulous planning and foresight, often requiring preparations several weeks in advance.
Key Responsibilities:
Equipment Inventory Management:
- Maintain precise records of A/V/L equipment inventory, including detailed information such as models, serial numbers, and condition. Utilize inventory tracking systems to monitor equipment movement, usage patterns, and maintenance history effectively.
Asset Utilization and Optimization:
- Develop and execute strategies to maximize the utilization of A/V/L equipment across various projects and clients.
- Analyze usage trends to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and resource optimization.
- Collaborate closely with project managers and production teams to forecast equipment needs and allocate resources efficiently.
Vendor and Supplier Management:
- Evaluate and engage vendors and suppliers for audio and lighting equipment purchases and rentals.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to ensure cost-effective procurement of high-quality equipment.
- Cultivate and maintain strong vendor relationships to facilitate prompt delivery and support services.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in audio and lighting equipment to inform decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in audio engineering, technical theater, or related field experience is preferred but not required.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in equipment management, preferably within the audiovisual, entertainment, or events industry.
- Proficient knowledge of audio, video & lighting equipment types, brands, and technical specifications.
- Familiarity with inventory management software and tools.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and effectively manage pressure situations.
