We are seeking a talented CAD Designer to join our transportation engineering team. As a CAD Designer, you will be responsible for supporting the design and development of transportation infrastructure projects using MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer software. Experience with MnDOT projects is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers remotely to create detailed CAD drawings and designs for transportation infrastructure projects.
- Utilize MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer software to develop accurate and efficient design solutions from your remote location.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements, adhering to IDOT standards when applicable.
- Assist in the preparation of project documentation remotely, including plans, profiles, cross-sections, and quantity calculations.
- Participate in remote project meetings and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve project goals and deadlines.
- Maintain organized project files and documentation remotely for efficient project management and quality control.
- Stay updated on industry trends, software advancements, and best practices in CAD design for transportation engineering.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or related field.
- Proficiency in CAD software, particularly MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer.
- Experience working on transportation engineering projects, with knowledge of MnDOT standards and procedures preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate and high-quality design deliverables remotely.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with remote teams and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while also contributing positively to a remote team environment.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities while working remotely.
