We have a current opportunity for a Substation Engineering Manager. This position will be based out of Orlando, Florida on a hybrid work schedule (3 days in office and 2 days remote).
Responsibilities:
- Lead a multi-discipline team of engineers and technicians
- Oversee and manage the budget, schedule, and quality requirements for various projects
- Review engineering work or assignments & provide mentorship where/when needed
- Provide support to business development strategies & implementations
- Ensure client and industry standards are maintained on assigned projects
- Actively manage any changes to a project while in direct coordination of both the client and project management team
Qualifications:
- 8+ years related work experience
- 3+ years of experience in design of substation facilities with a familiarity of the overall project life-cycle, layout design and optimization, relay protection & control, and civil/structural designs.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
- Experience managing/supervising EPC or design services substation projects for Utilities across the U.S.
- Good communication skills
- Comfortable working directly with clients
- P.E. License highly preferred
