Director of Civil Engineering: $150k-175k base salary
Take the lead of the in-house civil team for a local multi-family real estate developer. You will step in to work directly with the current Director, a veteran of the Phoenix civil engineering market, who will mentor you in the operations and coordination of technical, business development, and financial activities for the civil department before their retirement. They are specifically looking for someone with experience in commercial site development project management with an entrepreneurial spirit who is enthusiastic to be a leader of a growing team and business.

Responsibilities:
- Management of Phoenix engineering operations
- Identifying and pursuing business with third-party clients
- Scope development and contract negotiation
- Overseeing, participating in, and streamlining operations of technical staff
- Management of project data, QA/QC, and deliverables for accuracy
- Oversight of proposals, budgets, workload, and invoices
- Participating in Client/Agency meetings for sales and conflict resolution purposes
- Coordinating with company owners and other in-house department heads
Qualifications:
- Licensed PE in Arizona
- At least 10 years of experience
- At least 5 years of hands-on civil/site design experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or similar
- Proficiency in due diligence reports, all aspect of site design, water and sewer reports, and construction administration
- Technical expertise commensurate with that of a supervisor of project engineers and designers
