Responsibilities:
As the Director of Engineering, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction for all projects in the civil department. You will oversee project managers, ensuring they are meeting timelines and budgets. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing innovative solutions that meet clients' needs without compromising quality. You will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of professionals, and you'll be expected to lead by example, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence. You will also have the opportunity to work on national leadership positions, which will expand your experience and knowledge.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, applicants must possess at minimum a Bachelor's degree (or higher) in civil/environmental/chemical/mechanical/electrical engineering. You should also have 10+ years of relevant work experience, including leading teams on complex construction projects within the Illinois region, and experience working as a Project Manager. You should be knowledgeable about water/wastewater treatment processes and have a passion for delivering quality results to clients. Moreover, you should have experience in providing strategic direction and leading a team of professionals.

The ideal candidate should demonstrate expertise across several areas, such as strong analytical skills required for problem-solving, the ability to lead multi-disciplinary groups effectively by providing clear guidance and oversight, and exceptional communication skills - both written and verbal.
