Director of Origination
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Origination to join a leading renewable energy company (REMOTE) in California or New Jersey. The role will be responsible for developing new business opportunities by establishing and managing relationships with Commercial clients. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in deal origination and account management, with a strong understanding of the renewable energy industry. This role will report directly to the SVP of Business Development!
Responsibilities:
- Develop new business opportunities for renewable energy projects (Generate and Pursue Leads)
- Account management: Assess goals and needs, develop proposals, present solutions, answer questions, and address concerns.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, investors, and partners
- Conduct market analysis and identify new opportunities for growth
- Lead the development of proposals, RFPs, and other business development materials
- Manage the negotiation and execution of contracts and agreements
- Provide guidance and support to other team members as required
-Collaborate with internal teams (Engineering + Finance) to develop proposals
Skills:
- Strong understanding of the renewable energy industry, including solar and wind power
- Proven track record in deal origination and account management (3+ years of sales experience)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong computer skills + strong financial analysis skills
