The Opportunity: Director of Project Delivery
Location: Austin, Texas
As the Director of Project Delivery, you will play a crucial role in leading our pre-construction and construction efforts in the utility-scale solar, wind, and energy storage projects. The Director of Project Delivery will also play an important role in ensuring that the projects are completed successfully, on time, and within the budget.
Requirements:
- Provide technical expertise for early-stage development, including construction and equipment assumptions, layouts, and supply chain timelines.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants to ensure project design alignment.
- Oversee procurement processes, including demand analysis, RFPs, contracting, and supplier selection.
- Lead evaluation and selection of construction management, O&M, and asset management service providers.
- Support stakeholders with contract implementation, management, and supplier-related issues.
- Proactively maintain relationships with key vendors.
Qualifications:
- At least 6 years of advancing experience within the renewable energy sector, particularly in wind, solar, and storage, focusing on the pre-construction phase.
- Proficiency in fundamental engineering principles relevant to renewable energy projects, encompassing geotechnical, civil, structural, and electrical aspects.
- Effective communication skills tailored to diverse audiences, including external legal advisors, senior executives, and business partners.
- Independent problem-solving skills with a commitment to timely resolution or escalation.
- Flexibility for up to 35% travel.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering preferred; equivalent practical experience considered in lieu of formal education.
Comp Range/Expectations:
- $160,000 - $190,000 on the base with a 35 % bonus structure
