Job Type: Full-Time
Our client is a leading renewable energy company focused on the development, financing, and operation of sustainable energy projects across the United States. We specialize in delivering innovative solar solutions and are committed to driving positive environmental change through clean, renewable energy. We are looking for a talented Civil Engineer with Hydrology expertise to join our team and contribute to the growth of our solar & BESS projects.
Job Summary:
As the Civil Engineering expert on the team you will be responsible for site development, hydrological analysis, and stormwater management solutions for solar energy projects. The role requires technical expertise in water resources management, civil infrastructure design, and ensuring that projects comply with environmental regulations. You will work closely with various teams to optimize site designs and ensure the smooth execution of solar projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Hydrological Analysis: Conduct hydrologic modeling and analysis for solar project sites to manage stormwater, prevent flooding, and address water-related risks.
Site Design & Planning: Develop site designs including grading, drainage, erosion control, and stormwater management systems to ensure the functionality and safety of solar installations.
Compliance & Permitting: Ensure that all designs comply with federal, state, and local regulations related to hydrology, stormwater management, and environmental impact. Assist in the permitting process for solar projects.
Collaboration: Collaborate with project managers, environmental engineers, and design teams to integrate hydrological and civil engineering solutions into the overall project design.
Construction Support: Provide on-site technical support during construction, overseeing the implementation of designs, and resolving hydrological issues as they arise.
Risk Management: Evaluate potential water-related risks such as soil erosion, flooding, and water contamination, and develop strategies to mitigate these risks to ensure project success.
Sustainability Practices: Incorporate sustainable hydrology practices that align with the company's commitment to green energy solutions.
Reporting & Documentation: Prepare design reports, calculations, and documentation required for regulatory approvals and internal project reviews.
Qualifications:
