A leading and internationally recognized engineering firm that specializes in everything to do with water are looking for a Florida based Stormwater Client Lead.
You will join an established group with multiple offices around Florida in helping build the local stormwater market and head up projects addressing urban stormwater challenges, including flood risk mitigation, conveyance, and stormwater quality, sea level rise impacts, sea walls and more. Responsibilities:
Expand the presence in the local stormwater market through targeted business development strategies. This includes strengthening specific client relationships and engaging in select professional society activities. Collaborate with a nationwide network of client service leaders to support local growth in various areas and develop and implement strategies for continued stormwater growth and innovation.
Lead the application of 1D and 2D hydraulic and hydrologic modeling systems in urban settings at both local and watershed levels. This supports the planning and design of related infrastructure, such as pipelines, open channels, pump stations, channel stabilization techniques, storage and treatment facilities, multi-benefit facilities, and other conveyance measures.
Oversee detailed design projects, including the creation of contract documents (e.g., plan sets and specifications), hydraulic and hydrologic calculations, report writing, and other activities necessary for the planning, design, and construction of stormwater management facilities.
Collaborate with various engineering disciplines, designers, scientists, and other professionals involved in specific assignments.
Travel within Florida is expected, with potential travel outside Florida to support strategic national efforts.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
- 8+ years of experience relating to stormwater and water resources projects ideally in Florida
- Florida professional engineer license or the ability to obtain within 6 months
- Extensive expertise in leading the planning and design of solutions for urban stormwater management challenges, related to both quantity and quality.
- Familiarity with standard tools, including ICPR (1D/2D), HEC-RAS (1D/2D), HEC-HMS, ICM, FLO-2D, XPSWMM, ArcGIS, and Civil 3D.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to apply critical thinking to develop options and recommendations to solve technical challenges
- Ability to present to groups and communicate effectively with clients and project team
