Geotechnical Branch Manager - in NC
We are seeking an experienced Geotechnical Branch Manager for our established client based in Charlotte. This permanent position offers a unique opportunity to showcase your leadership skills and manage large scale projects across NC. The company currently has 12 offices in NC and is expanding at a rapid rate.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience overseeing P&L, leading teams with precision, and driving business growth within the geotechnical sector. As part of this role, you'll be instrumental in forging paths forward for both complex technical challenges as well as strategic organizational development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Balance your time between branch management and active project participation.
- Mentor and manage all branch staff.
- Taking the lead on local business development and growth opportunities.
- Implement company policies and ensure compliance with legislative requirements.
- Identify and manage health, safety, and environmental hazards associated with our work.
- Collaborating with our business development manager to forecast future work.
- Lead local business development initiatives, tenders, and proposals.
- Manage branch resources for sustainable growth.
- Cultivate positive relationships with stakeholders.
- Set and monitor branch financial targets.
- Lead quarterly branch performance.
Qualification Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on geotechnical engineering preferred (MS Preferred)
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- A minimum of 15 years of experience in the geotechnical field
- Project experience must include site development, foundations, retaining walls, and pavements - cradle to grave.
