Responsibilities:
- Conduct hazardous/regulated building material inspections
- Monitor HBM abatement activities and collect clearance samples
- Assist with IAQ and PCB assessments
- Coordinate with labs and contractors
- Assist with report writing and project scopes
- Report to the HBM Practice Lead
Requirements:
- Bachelor's/Associate's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Industrial Hygiene, or Environmental Science.
- Minimum 1 year of hazardous building materials survey and abatement/remediation monitoring experience (asbestos, lead-based paint, PCB experience essential).
- Must hold State of MA DLS Asbestos Inspector and Project Monitor OR State of CT DPH Asbestos Inspector and Project Monitor certifications, as well as State of MA DLS Licensed Lead Inspector OR State of CT DPH Licensed Lead Inspector certification.
- Familiarity with Massachusetts or Connecticut and Federal asbestos, lead, and PCB regulations/guidelines.
- Additional licenses in other states (MA, NY, RI, etc.) and CT licenses (Lead Risk Assessor, Asbestos Designer) are advantageous.
