Job Title: Industrial Hygienist

Job Description: We are currently seeking an experienced Industrial Hygienist with a minimum of 3 years of environmental health and safety experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in assessing and mitigating health hazards in the workplace, with a particular emphasis on asbestos, mold, lead, and indoor air quality (IAQ) work.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of workplace environments to identify potential health hazards, including asbestos, mold, lead, and indoor air quality issues.
- Develop and implement strategies to control and mitigate identified hazards, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
- Perform air and surface sampling for asbestos, mold, lead, and other contaminants, utilizing industry-standard methodologies and equipment.
- Analyze sampling results and prepare detailed reports outlining findings and recommendations for corrective actions.
- Provide expert guidance and consultation to internal stakeholders on health and safety matters related to asbestos, mold, lead, and IAQ.
- Coordinate with external vendors and contractors to oversee remediation projects and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
- Conduct training and education sessions for employees on asbestos awareness, mold prevention, lead safety, and indoor air quality management.
- Stay current with developments in environmental regulations, emerging contaminants, and industry trends related to asbestos, mold, lead, and IAQ.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Occupational Health, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working in industrial hygiene or environmental health and safety, with a focus on asbestos, mold, lead, and IAQ.
- In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements pertaining to asbestos, mold, lead, and indoor air quality, including OSHA, EPA, and state/local regulations.
- Experience conducting comprehensive assessments and sampling for asbestos, mold, lead, and IAQ contaminants.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sampling data and prepare detailed reports.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical audiences.
- Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) or other relevant professional certifications preferred but not required.
