Summary
The Internal Sales Associate will identify and pursue potential sales opportunities, engaging in customer exploration, outreach, and promotional activities. They will generate price quotes and provide comprehensive assistance and documentation to facilitate order closures for various products and services.
Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Internal Sales Manager, the Internal Sales Associate will:
* Assess all commercial and technical bid documents, providing necessary clarifications and addressing exceptions to ensure comprehensive risk management and clarity in supply scope.
* Collaborate with legal and financial departments to review commercial terms and conditions. Accurately complete data sheets, technical logs, commercial logs, and other bid documents to minimize risk in potential purchase orders.
* Seek internal technical support when needed for complex technical analysis, engineering drawings, or detailed technical expertise.
* Ensure proposals align with corporate expectations and internal constraints, such as manufacturing lead time and component availability.
* Establish the company as a supplier in various customer databases and portals.
* Manage the internal quoting database, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and currency of information.
* Regularly follow up on quote statuses for potential projects and provide updates to upper management as necessary.
* Liaise with the Operations team to provide guidance on notable exceptions or clarifications for projects proceeding with a purchase order.
Requirements
*BA/BS in Business, Analytics, or related field is preferred.
* 2-3 years of experience in sales operations with a thorough understanding of equipment design and construction practices.
* Familiarity with electrical engineering concepts is advantageous.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
* Self-motivated with the ability to thrive in a dynamic organizational environment.
* Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
* Capability to collaborate effectively within a diverse cross-functional team.
Opportunity for travel may be available as part of the role.
