A global, leading employee-owned engineering consulting firm is looking to bring on a Lead Electrical Engineer - STATCOM/FACTS/HVDC to join the team! This position will support the FACTS project team involving distribution, subtransmission, and transmission-level projects across the US, with the ability to work fully remote and/or the option to go into any office location across the US.
The Lead Electrical Engineer - STATCOM/FACTS/HVDC will be responsible for:
- Serving as the technical lead substation design engineer for FACTS projects
- Utilizing resources for safety and regulatory standards (IEEE, IEC, NEC, NESC, NERC, ISO/RTO) to evaluate project deliverables
- Leading internal and external discussions/collaborate with owners and OEMs
The Lead Electrical Engineer - STATCOM/FACTS/HVDC should have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
- PE license or EIT (highly preferred)
- substation design experience
- 5+ yrs of electrical engineering experience in substation design, HVDC, FACTS, STATCOM, etc.
- Modeling/simulation experience using PSS/E, PSLF, PSCAD, etc.
