We are proudly representing a leading multi-disciplinary firm in the US who are currently seeking a Lead Engineer for their Atlanta office. They work on a range of projects and are dominating Commercial, Industrial and Environmental markets across Atlanta. The position offers the right candidate to lead a talented team of engineers as well as work on the key projects in Georgia.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage geotechnical engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring quality, safety, and adherence to time lines and budgets.
- Conduct site investigations, including soil and rock sampling, and oversee laboratory testing and analysis.
- Design geotechnical solutions, including foundations, retaining structures, slopes, and other earthworks.
- Prepare technical reports, proposals, and project documentation with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Collaborate with clients, project managers, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure project success.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing technical expertise and professional development support.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Georgia or the ability to obtain one within six months.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, with a strong track record of successful project delivery.
- Proficiency in geotechnical software and analysis tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to project management.
- Experience with client relations and business development is a plus.
