Our client, a leading renewable energy company in Japan, is expanding its engineering department and is currently seeking a talented and experienced Offshore Wind Project Engineer Certification to join their team. The company is one of the biggest offshore wind developer companies around the globe and they are also active in offshore wind projects in APAC, including Japan and Korea.

Position Overview:
As an Offshore Wind Project Engineer Certification, your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all aspects of the company's offshore wind farms meet regulatory requirements set by government agencies or industry standards organizations such as DNV GL. You will be responsible for overseeing the certification process, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring that the project is completed on time and within budget. In this role, you will be required to work closely with multiple stakeholders, including project managers, contractors, and government agencies.
Key responsibilities:
1. Work with the project's engineering manager to influence and maintain the certification plan and scope, making sure the business complies with all applicable industry standards and regulations.
2. Actively follow up on requirements, and make sure that authorities and certifying bodies are informed on time.
3. Actively participate in authority meetings and stakeholder associations to stay informed and contribute to industry discussions.
4. Conduct technical and business talks with designated inspectors, certification agencies, and service suppliers regarding certification.
5. Work closely with the technical disciplines-foundation engineering, soil and site characterization, wind turbine, and electrical engineering-that are related to offshore wind structure design.
Qualifications & Skills Required:
1. Bachelor's degree (or higher qualification) in Engineering or equivalent field
2. At least 3 years of working experience within the certification of Offshore/Onshore wind in Japan/Korea
3. Good understanding of certification scheme and scope for wind projects as well as country-specific standards, guidelines and processes
4. Fluent in English and Japanese/Korean, further languages are a plus
5. Good communication skills
