Principal ESD Engineer
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Principal ESD Engineer Consultant with hands-on expertise in energy modeling for both new and existing buildings. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Environmental Sustainable Design (ESD) principles and practices, coupled with advanced proficiency in energy modeling software such as IESVE.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert services to clients on ESD strategies and sustainable building design.
- Conduct comprehensive energy modeling for new and existing building projects
- Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and project teams to integrate sustainable design principles into building concepts.
- Perform energy simulations, daylight analysis, and thermal comfort assessments.
- Develop and recommend energy efficiency measures to optimize building performance.
- Advise on renewable energy integration, building orientation, and material selection to maximize sustainability.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation to communicate findings and recommendations effectively to clients.
- Stay updated with industry trends, standards, and best practices in ESD and energy modeling.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and team members.
- Assist in obtaining GreenMark certification for projects as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Environmental Sustainable Design (ESD) consulting.
- Proven track record of conducting energy modeling for various building types using IESVE software.
- Familiarity with GreenMark requirements and processes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly.
- Certification in energy modeling (e.g., CEM, CMVP) is a plus.
- Experience in other energy modeling software such as IESVE
- Passion for sustainability and a commitment to promoting environmentally responsible design practices.
