They are looking for a Principal Geotechnical Engineer to spearhead the multiple markets they are currently dominating. As the Principal Geotechnical Engineer, you will be at the forefront of directing and managing geotechnical engineering endeavors for high-profile transportation, residential, and commercial projects in North America. Your role is pivotal in ensuring flawless project delivery, fostering innovation, and providing expert guidance to our esteemed clients and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership: Lead and supervise geotechnical engineering projects, covering site characterization, foundation design, and risk assessment for transportation, residential, and commercial facilities.
- Technical Excellence: Provide expert technical guidance, ensuring geotechnical solutions align with industry best practices and regulatory standards.
- Collaborative Ingenuity: Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary project teams, including civil engineers, environmental consultants, and project managers.
- Project Management Mastery: Effectively manage project budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Team Development: Mentor and cultivate a team of geotechnical engineers and technicians, fostering growth and expertise.
- Industry Leadership: Stay at the forefront of industry trends and technologies, maintaining expertise in soil mechanics, geotechnical analysis, and foundation design.
- Client Relationship Building: Establish and nurture strong client relationships, addressing their needs and ensuring project satisfaction.
- Documentation Excellence: Prepare high-quality reports, proposals, and technical documentation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
- Hold a Professional Engineer or the ability to obtain one promptly.
- A minimum of 12 years of geotechnical engineering experience, with a focus on transportation, residential, and commercial projects.
- Demonstrate a track record of successfully managing and delivering complex geotechnical projects.
- In-depth knowledge of soil mechanics, geotechnical analysis, and foundation design.
- Strong project management skills and a history of managing multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Dedication to safety, quality, and a continuous improvement mindset.
