This electric utility serving the state of Michigan is looking to add a Principal Transmission Planning engineer to their team. This position would have technical leadership responsibilities with the opportunity to grow into management down the line or grow your technical expertise through their extensive project work. This role is hybrid based out of Detroit, MI.
The Principal Transmission Planning Engineer would be responsible for:
- Initiating or performing engineering studies, proposing solutions or recommending alternatives
- Developing models and analyzing data to support improvement programs
- Applying knowledge and background of engineering and scientific principles and practices in a variety of assignments
Qualifications Include:
- 6+ years of transmission planning experience
- An expertise in PSSE and TARA or Python
- Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering
