Summary: Join a leading renewable energy developer, building, owning, and operating utility and community wind projects in the NYISO region! They are looking to bring on an experienced Project Developer to join their growing project development team. The ideal candidate will be located in New York State and responsible for project development efforts through late stages.
The Project Developer will be responsible for:
- Ability and knowledge to identify suitable land for new projects within NYISO.
- Ability to identify and understand opportunities to minimize project risk throughout the entire project development lifecycle.
- Involvement with land acquisitions efforts, including managing land agents and conducting site visits as needed.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, local government officials, state regulators, and community members.
- Draft and compile RFP submissions.
- Manage local, state, and federal permitting processes alongside internal permitting department.
- Work collaboratively with engineers and contractors to progress interconnections applications.
- Work alongside construction teams on pre-construction activities.
The Project Developer should have the following qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years experience in renewable energy development.
- Ability to travel as necessary.
- Passionate individual looking to make a change in the renewable energy space.
- Experience developing projects in the Northeast considered a plus.
