Position Overview: We are looking for an experienced Transportation Project Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of experience and either an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or a Professional Engineer (PE) license. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in transportation engineering, with expertise in managing projects related to roadway design, traffic management, and transportation planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage transportation engineering projects from concept through completion, ensuring they meet technical, budgetary, and timeline requirements.
- Develop, review, and approve transportation designs, plans, and specifications to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct traffic studies, analyze data, and develop recommendations to improve transportation systems and infrastructure.
- Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and interdisciplinary teams to align project goals and address any technical issues.
- Oversee site inspections and project evaluations to ensure quality control and adherence to project specifications.
- Prepare and present technical reports, proposals, and project documentation to clients and regulatory agencies.
- Mentor and support junior engineers and technical staff.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related field.
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in transportation engineering, with a demonstrated ability to manage complex projects.
- Proficiency in transportation engineering software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, HCS, Synchro).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with transportation planning, traffic engineering, and roadway design.
