We are currently hiring for a Project Fabrication Manager for the Offshore Wind project in Taiwan. This position open for expats to apply.
Responsibilities:
Lead and oversee the fabrication scope, including pin piles and jackets.
Establish, guide, and monitor fabrication site teams, conducting regular on-site visits.
Contribute to the formulation of effective policies, review fabricator yard procedures and construction plans, and maintain a comprehensive overview of all activities.
Provide personal guidance, instructions, coaching, and effective management of team members.
Ensure projects adhere to contractual obligations, managing day-to-day execution of work, and maintaining a holistic view of all activities.
Collaborate with the Quality Manager to plan and allocate resources for QA/QC support.
Identify, communicate, and manage relevant Health and Safety risks within the project team.
Ensure project delivery aligns with program timelines, quality standards, and budget constraints.
Input into the risk register and manage risks associated with Foundation fabrication scope.
Contribute to project planning and scheduling, identifying and confirming deviations promptly.
Provide technical management coordination for contractors, ensuring the identification and mitigation of technical risks.
Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, managing relevant contracts, schedules, and budgets.
Manage package risks, action trackers, and interfaces effectively.
Maintain a high focus on HSSE (Health, Safety, Security, and Environment) and quality standards.
Engage directly with the Contractor, participating in meetings at both the Contractor's head office and their Sub-contractor (Fabricator) premises.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in handling large and complex projects, preferably in the oil & gas, energy, or offshore wind sectors.
Preferably holds a Master's or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, coupled with specialized training in fabrication management and project management.
Background in structural engineering or equivalent fabrication experience is advantageous.
Previous experience in executing a complete design and fabrication scope of an offshore wind farm, either as a technical/fabrication lead or as a project manager.
Proven experience as a hands-on fabrication manager.
Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 3834, and EN 1090 standards.
Preferred personal qualification in welding and coating; Coating qualification FROSIO Level 3 or NACE Level 3 is desirable.
International work experience is a plus.
Ability to influence and facilitate the development and implementation of goals, objectives, and plans.
Strong communication skills on all levels, with the ability to build bridges and persuade others.
Demonstrated leadership qualities, teamwork, self-initiation, and organizational skills.
Broad professional experience in management and supervision for the fabrication of offshore foundation structures.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Chinese is advantageous.
Willingness to travel within the supply chain.
Openness to relocate to Taiwan.
