We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager with a strong background in construction and engineering, specifically in the field of Renewable Energy (Solar). The Project Manager will oversee the execution of EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects for the company's solar and BESS installations across Japan. This role requires a meticulous professional who can manage multiple stakeholders, ensure project delivery on time and within budget, and uphold our commitment to quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the end-to-end execution of EPC projects, from initial planning and design through construction, commissioning, and handover.
- Coordinate with internal teams (engineering, procurement, operations) and external contractors/subcontractors to ensure project milestones are met according to schedule.
- Monitor project budgets, expenditures, and costs, ensuring adherence to financial plans and reporting to senior management as required.
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality audits to uphold construction standards, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities throughout the project lifecycle, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Implement risk management strategies and contingency plans to mitigate project risks and ensure smooth project progression.
- Foster a collaborative and productive work environment, providing leadership and guidance to project teams to achieve project goals effectively.
- Prepare comprehensive project documentation, including progress reports, technical specifications, and final project evaluations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. Advanced degree (MBA, MSc) is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in the construction or EPC industry, preferably with a focus on renewable energy, or power generation projects.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques. PMP certification is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders, ensuring alignment with project objectives and client expectations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to negotiate, influence, and build strong relationships at all levels.
- Fluent in Japanese and proficiency in English (written and verbal) is preferred.
- Knowledge of Japanese regulatory requirements and permitting processes related to construction and energy projects.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
