Overview: A prominent environmental consulting firm is looking for an experienced Senior Environmental Risk Assessment Consultant. This role involves providing strategic and technical support for client projects while contributing to business development in health sciences, environmental investigation/remediation, and litigation support. The position carries significant responsibilities related to client engagement, project management, and the development of junior staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver leadership and innovative technical guidance in applying risk assessment methodologies to address complex environmental challenges for clients.
- Oversee the execution of technical work and ensure the quality of project deliverables.
- Foster relationships with existing clients and cultivate new client connections to expand business opportunities.
- Identify, develop, and secure new projects that offer tailored solutions for client needs.
- Mentor junior staff, facilitating knowledge transfer and supporting their professional growth.
Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in toxicology, environmental or chemical engineering, environmental health, environmental science, biology, chemistry, or a related discipline.
- 12+ years of experience in applied human health and/or ecological risk assessment.
- Strong dedication to client service and ongoing professional development.
- Established reputation for creativity, integrity, responsiveness, and technical expertise among clients and peers.
- Proficient technical skills in environmental fate and transport, statistics, and spatial analysis.
- Exceptional technical writing and verbal communication abilities.
- Experience in leading project teams and supervising staff.
- Capable of effectively prioritizing and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
