About the Role
A specialist engineering and consultancy firm is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join their Sydney team. This role involves leading electrical engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and sustainability. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent project management skills, and the ability to mentor and guide junior engineers.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage electrical engineering projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget.
- Develop detailed electrical designs, specifications, and documentation.
- Conduct feasibility studies, site inspections, and technical evaluations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, mechanical engineers, and project managers.
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
- Provide technical expertise and support during the construction phase.
- Prepare and present technical reports, proposals, and presentations.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a proven track record of successfully delivered projects.
- Chartered Engineer status or equivalent professional recognition.
- Extensive knowledge of Australian electrical standards, codes, and regulations.
- Proficiency in electrical design software and tools, such as AutoCAD, Revit, and ETAP.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Experience in renewable energy systems, smart building technologies, and sustainable design practices is highly desirable.
- Based in Sydney or willing to relocate.
