Position Overview: As a Senior Geotechnical Engineer, you will be a key member of the engineering team, contributing your expertise to a variety of challenging and impactful projects. You will play a crucial role in project management, geotechnical analysis, and client interaction, showcasing your technical proficiency and leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Manage geotechnical projects from conception to completion, ensuring they meet client expectations, project timelines, and budgetary constraints.
- Geotechnical Analysis: Conduct geotechnical investigations, soil and rock mechanics analysis, foundation design, slope stability analysis, and provide expert recommendations.
- Field Investigations: Oversee and participate in field investigations, including site visits, soil sampling, and subsurface exploration.
- Client Interaction: Foster strong client relationships by providing technical expertise, addressing client concerns, and ensuring overall client satisfaction.
- Report Preparation: Prepare clear and concise geotechnical reports, including data analysis, interpretations, and recommendations.
- Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain high-quality standards for geotechnical deliverables, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with industry standards.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including environmental engineers, structural engineers, and project managers, to deliver integrated solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Geotechnical Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of Missouri.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in geotechnical engineering.
- Proficient in geotechnical analysis software and familiarity with industry-standard design codes.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
