This privately owned multidisciplinary firm in the greater Hartford, CT area is looking for the perfect senior hydraulic engineer to add to their team! This person would come in at a senior level ideally with experience in both hydrology and hydraulic engineering as it relates to bridges, dams, subdivisions and general civil design projects. This firm is known for their engineering excellence, innovation and timely completion of projects throughout Connecticut and western Mass.
The Senior Hydraulic Engineer will be responsible for:
- Oversee design work within drainage, stormwater, erosion sediment control, and other transportation related projects
- Create a challenging professional environment of innovation, opportunity, development, and continuous improvement for the staff focused on staff growth and succession planning
- Lead the execution of current and future hydraulic/ hydrology projects and analysis
- Coordinate hydraulic projects within other facets of transportation- roadway, site/civil and water team
The Senior Hydraulic Engineer should have the following qualifications:
- Civil Engineering degree, PE required
- 8+ yrs related experience
- Familiarity with a number of these softwares: HECRAS, TR-55, geopak drainage, microstation
- Previous approval as a hydraulic engineer through the CTDOT is preferred (or ability to get approved ASAP)
