A global, leading developer and owner/operator is looking to bring on a Senior Manager or Director, Transmission & Interconnection to join the team! This position will support and lead the growing Transmission & Interconnection group, working on wind, solar, and battery storage projects across the US, with the ability to work fully remote and/or the option to go into any office location across the US (San Diego, CA; Chicago, IL; Austin, TX; Houston, TX; Denver, CO, and more!)
The Senior Manager, Transmission & Interconnection will be responsible for:
- Managing the interconnection process from initial application through large generator interconnection agreements
- Coordinating between internal and external stakeholders
- Performing and reviewing power flow studies and models
- Lead/guide a team of power systems/transmission planning engineers and provide guidance for junior engineers performing modeling/analysis
The Senior Manager, Transmission & Interconnection should have the following qualifications:
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
- 5+ years of Transmission Planning/Interconnection experience
- Expertise in PSSE, TARA, PSLF, PSCAD, PowerWorld, etc.
- Experience working in and managing interconnection processes in one or more ISO/RTO (ERCOT, NYISO, ISO-NE, MISO, SPP, CAISO, or WECC) - CAISO/WECC experience preferred
