We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Project Manager responsible for:
- Act as the technical subject matter expert in various areas of mechanical engineering.
- Supervise and manage assigned engineers on each project, offering technical guidance, training, and support for junior engineers.
- Perform necessary calculations, modeling, engineering tasks, and code research.
- Conduct peer reviews, provide technical oversight, and ensure quality control of the design team's work.
- Manage projects hands-on by regularly reviewing plans and timelines to ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget. Adjust staffing and resources as needed to meet deadlines and budget constraints.
- Organize and lead internal and external client meetings, ensuring all action items are documented and completed.
- Coordinate projects with all involved parties, including internal teams, external clients, and subcontractors.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience engineering power infrastructure projects including central utility plants (CUP), combined heat and power (CHP), distributed generation, microgrids.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience specifying and integrating into engineered systems industrial frame combustion turbines, natural gas and diesel internal combustion engines, heat recovery equipment, packaged boilers, chillers and heat pumps, cooling equipment, pumps, and balance of plant mechanical equipment is a requirement.
- Experience with engineering biogas to energy and renewable natural gas highly valued.
- Knowledge of and experience engineering building and industrial HVAC equipment and systems is a plus.
- Knowledge of ground couple geothermal systems is a plus.
- Must be knowledgeable of local, state and national code requirements.
- Must have working knowledge of electrical, controls, structural, civil and architectural discipline requirements.
