Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed structural drawings and documentation using Revit for various projects, including commercial, residential, and school buildings.
- Collaborate closely with structural and civil engineers to develop and refine design solutions.
- Ensure all drawings and plans are accurate, clear, and compliant with relevant standards and regulations.
- Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to integrate structural designs seamlessly with overall project requirements.
- Review and revise drawings based on feedback from engineers and project managers.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior drafters, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in structural drafting.
Qualifications
- Advanced proficiency in Revit, with a strong portfolio showcasing experience in drafting large concrete building structures.
- Extensive experience in structural drafting, particularly within the commercial, residential, and institutional sectors.
- Solid understanding of structural engineering principles and building codes.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with other drafting software such as AutoCAD.
- Previous experience mentoring or leading a team of drafters.
- Familiarity with Australian building standards and regulations.
