Senior Technical Accountant
A leading renewable energy company is currently seeking a motivated individual to join their team as a Senior Technical Accountant. This company has a strong portfolio and has placed over 4GW across the US in solar and storage projects. The ideal candidate will be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with a strong background in technical accounting and a passion for contributing to the success of a renewable energy company. The position is located in the Boston area and offers an exciting opportunity to join a growing business.
The responsibilities of the position will include:
- Lead the company's technical accounting function, ensuring compliance with GAAP and other relevant accounting standards.
- Research and interpret complex accounting issues related to renewable energy projects, transactions, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide guidance on accounting treatment for new and existing projects, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Oversee accounting for intangible assets, equity, M&A activity, etc.
- Prepare technical accounting memos and examine process and systems for external financing reporting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA designation is required.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex accounting issues effectively.
- Background and understanding of local, state, and federal tax regulations.
