LVI have exclusively partnered with a firm owned by two industry experts in the Charlotte Forensic Structural Engineering space who have a massive backlog of investigation and litigation work across NC for commercial & residential construction defects and catastrophes. Their work includes both structural and enclosure systems, and the opportunity to take on some design projects if you desire.
They are looking for a highly competent and autonomous forensic engineer to help manage this work load and be one of the first senior leaders at their newly established firm. You will be mentored by two industry leaders and fully supported into a senior leadership role with a growing firm.

Responsibilities
- Conduct and manage forensic investigations into structural and enclosure failures, including fire, flood, and impact damage and construction defect.
- Prepare detailed reports on findings and provide expert testimony in legal proceedings.
- Work closely with clients to develop effective remediation strategies.
- Undertake site visits and inspections to identify potential issues and hazards.
- Manage projects from start to finish, ensuring that deadlines are met and budgets are adhered to.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Structural/Civil Engineering
- 5+ years of relevant experience with proven growth
- Professional Engineer in North Carolina
- Litigation/ forensics experience and attorney/insurance client relationships is ideal
