The company holds leading positions in generation, transmission, and energy transition solutions. Overseeing hundreds of miles of high-voltage transmission - contributing to the energy transition, such as electric vehicle charging, demand response, microgrids, renewable fuels, and waste-to-energy platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and submit outage requests in collaboration with the Transmission Operations group.
- Manage and carry out electrical clearances, conduct field switching operations, and oversee lockout and tagging procedures.
- Provide supervision, both direct and indirect, for various craft laborers, including linemen, journeymen, and construction contractors.
- Interpret and comprehend engineering schematics and technical documents related to electrical transmission protection systems and associated communication equipment.
- Conduct regular inspections of substation and transmission line equipment as part of routine maintenance.
Qualifications:
- Successful graduation from a technical or vocational training program specializing in substation or relay technology.
- Accumulated 5-10 years of pertinent experience within an electrical utility or testing services contractor.
- Demonstrate extensive knowledge and comprehension of maintenance tasks conducted by contracted personnel, specifically pertaining to substation equipment like transformers, circuit breakers, and switches.
- Possess a foundational understanding of protective relaying, communication, metering, and SCADA systems.
