Our client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Survey Manager to oversee and manage their land surveying operations in Denver. The ideal candidate will lead a team of surveyors, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to project timelines. They will collaborate closely with various stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, and clients, to guarantee the successful completion of land surveying tasks.
Responsibilities:
Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and lead a team of surveyors, providing guidance, support, and training as needed. Ensure the team's performance meets quality standards and project requirements.
Project Management: Oversee multiple land surveying projects simultaneously, from initial planning to final deliverables. Coordinate with project managers and stakeholders to define project scopes, timelines, and resource requirements.
Surveying Operations: Review survey data, maps, and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards. Direct field survey activities and verify the precision of measurements and calculations.
Quality Assurance: Implement quality control processes to guarantee the accuracy of survey data and deliverables. Conduct periodic audits and reviews to maintain high-quality standards.
Technical Expertise: Stay updated with the latest surveying technologies, tools, and methodologies. Apply innovative approaches to improve surveying techniques and streamline processes.
Client Communication: Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, providing project updates, and ensuring client satisfaction. Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements and expectations.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to land surveying. Stay informed about changes in laws and regulations that may impact surveying activities.
Qualifications:
- Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) License required.
Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certification is a plus.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in land surveying, with 5 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
Proficiency in surveying software (e.g., AutoCAD, GIS), GPS technology, and other surveying instruments.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively manage teams and liaise with clients and stakeholders.
