A leading Western, employee-owned consulting firm dedicated to designing sustainable and efficient infrastructure solutions is searching for a Technical Drainage Lead for their Colorado teams.
As the Transportation Drainage Engineer Lead, you will play a key role in the design, analysis, and implementation of drainage systems for transportation projects. You will lead a team of engineers and technicians, providing guidance and expertise to ensure the successful completion of projects. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading the design and analysis of drainage systems for highways, bridges, and other transportation infrastructure projects.
- Collaborating with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to develop innovative solutions that meet project requirements and objectives.
- Conducting hydrologic and hydraulic analyses using industry-standard software and methodologies.
- Preparing engineering plans, specifications, and reports in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
- Mentoring and coaching junior staff members, fostering their professional growth and development.
- Participating in project meetings, presentations, and reviews to communicate project status and findings effectively.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of Colorado, or ability to obtain within six months.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in transportation drainage engineering, including design and analysis of drainage systems.
- Proficiency in hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software such as HEC-RAS, SWMM, and GIS tools.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead and mentor a team of engineers and technicians.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and clients.
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects simultaneously and delivering high-quality results on time and within budget.
