One of our clients is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Technical Lead to join their Battery Storage team.
This will be the first hire for the technical team, which could provide exciting career growth and development!
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in leading technical efforts in the design, development, and implementation of battery storage solutions. This position requires a deep understanding of battery technologies and a strong ability to work across the Development and Engineering teams.
Location: Tokyo, Japan (hybrid working environment)

Main Responsibilities:
- Lead the technical design and development of battery storage systems, ensuring projects meet performance, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Oversee the integration of battery storage solutions with existing and new power systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and continuous improvement in battery storage technologies.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to the engineering team, ensuring high standards of engineering excellence.
- Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for battery storage projects.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in battery technologies and industry trends.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and internal teams, to ensure successful project delivery.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in battery storage systems or related technologies for the Japanese market
- Deep understanding of battery technologies, including lithium-ion and other emerging battery chemistries.
- Experience with industry standards and regulations related to battery storage systems.
- Fluent in English and Japanese communication (written and verbal)
