I have partnered with a new client that has experienced significant growth over the last six years. This firm has dominated the traffic engineering sector in DC and is now expanding into other states. They primarily work with state DOTs and are consistently shortlisted for high-profile projects. Impressively, they are responsible for designing 1,200 out of 1,700 traffic signals in DC. Their diverse projects include multimodal streetscape design, traffic crash data reporting, and highway safety improvement studies. Joining this team will allow you to be hands-on with all these exciting and impactful projects.
They are looking to bring on traffic engineers at all levels. As this is a smaller boutique firm, this would be a great opportunity to take on more responsibilities within project management and business development.
Responsibilities:
- Design transportation plans - may include traffic control, traffic signals, pavement markings, and utilities
- Performance of traffic studies, analysis, and modeling
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of traffic engineering experience
- Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- EIT required; PE preferred
- Preferred Software; AutoCAD, MicroStation, Synchro, and/or Vissim
- Ability to commute to Washington DC, Tysons Corner, VA, or Columbia, MD
