Position Overview: As a Traffic Project Manager, you will be responsible for both project management and business development activities. You will lead traffic engineering projects while actively contributing to the growth of their business by identifying, pursuing, and securing new opportunities. This dual-role position requires a candidate with a proven track record in project delivery and a passion for building and nurturing client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management:
- Lead and manage traffic engineering projects from initiation to completion, ensuring quality, timeliness, and client satisfaction.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including traffic engineers and planners, to deliver successful project outcomes.
Business Development:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the traffic engineering sector.
- Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships, understanding their needs and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Develop and execute business development strategies to expand our market presence.
Proposal Development:
- Prepare and submit compelling proposals in response to RFPs (Request for Proposals) and RFQs (Request for Qualifications).
- Work closely with technical teams to develop comprehensive and competitive project proposals.
Client Engagement:
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their needs and concerns throughout the project lifecycle.
- Leverage client relationships to secure repeat business and identify additional opportunities.
Market Research:
- Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.
- Analyze market data to identify emerging opportunities and potential challenges.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Traffic Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Proven experience in traffic engineering project management, with a successful track record of project delivery.
- Demonstrated success in business development, with the ability to identify and secure new projects.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with relevant software and tools used in traffic engineering.
