Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Traffic Project Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing traffic projects and leading a team of engineers in delivering exceptional results. This role requires strong client management skills, project management expertise, and a thorough understanding of California traffic regulations and standards. This position offers growth potential into an Engineering Manager role in the Southern California region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met and their expectations are exceeded. Act as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project life cycle.
- Project Management: Oversee the planning, design, and execution of traffic projects, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Coordinate with cross-functional teams and manage project deliverables.
- Traffic Engineering Expertise: Apply your knowledge of California traffic standards and regulations to design, implement, and manage traffic projects, including traffic impact studies, traffic signal design, and roadway improvements.
- Team Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technical staff. Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment that promotes professional growth and development.
- Billability: This role starts off at being 75% billable but will change into a Southern California manager role where you will not be billable
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in California is required.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in traffic engineering or transportation projects.
- Proven track record in client management and project management.
- Strong understanding of California traffic regulations and standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated leadership and mentoring abilities.
- Proficiency in traffic engineering software and tools.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
