A top 25 ENR firm is currently seeking a driven, and motivated Transportation Engineer. You will play a pivotal role in designing and optimizing transportation systems. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge projects that enhance connectivity, efficiency, and sustainability in the transportation sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with a team as a project manager or task leader for primarily highway and/or local road projects in the preparation of plans, specifications and estimate for projects of various sizes and complexity
- Manage the following work elements: day-to-day communication (verbal and written) with the client, support and advise junior engineers and technical staff, write reports and technical memos
- Produce some of the following plans: Roadway Sections, Alignment/Right of Way Plans
- Independently coordinate work of engineers and balance workload throughout entire project's development
- Establish client relationships and be involved with marketing, contractual, design and production meetings
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Michigan.
- Proven experience in transportation engineering and understanding of MDOT,
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience.
- Proficiency in transportation modeling software (e.g., VISSIM, Microstation, Open Roads)
